Jinx, born Powder, is one of the main protagonists of Arcane. She is the unpredictable, clever, and chaotic younger sister of Vi, and the adoptive daughter of Silco. Throughout the series, she struggles with feelings of abandonment by her sister and manipulation from Silco, as she tries to understand her true identity.

As a child, Powder was shy and sweet, but clumsy and prone to mistakes. This, combined with middle-child syndrome, caused frustration in her older brother Mylo, who called her a jinx. She greatly admired her older sister Vi (her only biological family), seeing her as a role model and almost a parental figure. Although she wasnt as physically capable as Vi, she was very creative and spent most of her free time making various inventions, primarily bombs and small explosives.

However, they were unreliable and only became effective later in her teenage years. She showed great skill with firearms, repeatedly defeating her best friend Ekko and her brother Mylo. Despite her usually timid and calm nature, Powder often displayed extremely strong emotional reactions, especially when faced with abandonmentresulting in crying, hallucinations, and self-harming behavior. These traits remain with her later in the series.
