Monkey D. Luffy is the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates (Mugiwara), now considered one of the Emperors of the Grand Line (Yonko).

Born in Fuchsia Village, Luffy accidentally ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi at the age of 7, which turned him into a rubber man.

The abilities granted by his fruit have allowed him to develop techniques like Gear 2nd, Gear 3, Gear 4, and finally Gear 5, making him incredibly powerful, if not invincible.

Monkey D. Luffy has mastered three forms of Haki to a quite advanced level, a feat that makes him, even without his other qualities, one of the most powerful characters in the Grand Line.
