Protected by the Constellation of Pegasus, he is one of the Bronze Saints charged with the mission of defending the goddess Athena in the wars of the 20th century, protecting justice and peace on Earth. Seiya is also the reincarnation of the bronze saint Pegasus Tenma and the first saint Pegasus, the first man to harm the god Hades in mythological times. An impulsive, generous and loyal warrior, Seiya never gives up the fight in any situation, no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem. His sense of justice and love for his friends appear in each of his battles, and his mercy and concern extends even to his enemies. Son of unknown parents, he was trained by the enigmatic Silver Saint Eagle Marin, as they are both from Japan. With her, Seiya learned all the necessary combat techniques and the mysteries surrounding the source of his powers, called Cosmos. Six years after Seiya’s arrival in Greece for his training, after defeating the 9 candidate Saints, his last fight would be against another apprentice called Cassios, who believed that the cloth could only belong to a Greek. Cassios shows a position of superiority over Seiya and does not consider him a worthy rival. However, to everyone’s surprise, Seiya prevails throughout the fight. Cassios attacks but is hit by the Pegasus Meteor Fist secret technique and is defeated. The Grand Master recognizes Seiya as a Saint and gives him the Pegasus Cloth. As a warning, the Grandmaster tells Seiya that the armor is a symbol of justice and, as such, should never be used for personal reasons. Seiya is skilled at hitting his opponents with multiple punches, thanks to his great agility. After saving Athena, Seiya and his friends still face Gemini Saga in one last battle, potentially harming Saga’s evil cosmos and allowing the victory of the goddess Athena. Originally created in Masami Kuramada’s 1986 manga and adapted in anime by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1989, the Saint Seiya series tells the story of 5 mythical bronze saints who fight to protect the human reincarnation of the goddess Athena, dressed in sacred fabrics, based in numerous constellations .
