Usopp, also named Pipo in the older Glnat editions of the anime, is a member of The Straw Hat Crew, holding the position of Elite Shooter. He is originally from the Village of Sirop. Although he is not a shipwright, he was also in charge of repairing the Vogue Merry (he patched the holes with the means at hand). He was then replaced by Franky, when the latter and the Thousand Sunny joined the crew, for the maintenance of the ship.

When he was in the Village of Sirop, he was the Captain of a crew and was known by the members of his crew as Captain Usopp. He kept this nickname and it is one of his most famous lines. He disbanded the crew when he went to sea and joined the Straw Hat Crew. He is the son of Yasopp, a member of the Reds Crew. His dream is to become a valiant sea warrior, and to follow in his father’s footsteps, and he feels that he can die peacefully when he has achieved this. He will be able to say to himself: “It’s me Usopp! The brave warrior of the seas!!!”.
