Dio Brando, known as DIO from part 3, is the main antagonist of parts 1 and 3. After becoming a vampire and later a user of Stand Dio gathered many servants around him and is responsible for many of the series’ major events, from Jonathan Joestar’ s death to the Joestar family’ s sudden acquisition of Stand’ s power, and his legacy persists throughout the series.
