Kafka Hibino also known as Kaiju No. 8 is the main protagonist of the anime series Kaiju No. 8. He is a Defense Force officer and former worker at the Professional Kaiju Cleaning Company Monster Sweeper Inc, who gained the ability to transform into a humanoid identified as a Kaiju after a kaiju managed to enter his body.He was formerly a member of the Third Division, but was recently transferred to the First Division.

When out of control, some characteristics of the Kaiju form become more pronounced. Elongated horns, more prominent dorsal plates, a mouth opening beyond the skull-shaped mask, and eyes turning completely cyan (with no defined pupil or beginning/end of the sclera).
