Osamu Dazai is a member of the Armed Detective Agency and was once one of the leaders of the Port Mafia.

Dazai is generally called lazy; in fact, Kunikida often scolds him for being unproductive and relaxed. Despite this, he has shown a sharp mind, deducing all situations, even the most improbable, almost at the same level as Ranpo. Most of the time, he acts as the strategist for the Armed Detectives, as Ranpo is too capricious to take on that role.

The Ruin of a Man is Dazai’s power that allows him to nullify other powers by touching them. Therefore, his ability relies solely on contact.

For this reason, Dazai requires a standard procedure or medical operation whenever he injures himself, unlike his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency, whom Yosano generally heals using her power.
