Nezuko Kamado is the deuteragonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is the younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado and one of the last surviving members of the Kamado family.
Nezuko was transformed into a demon at the beginning of the series by Muzan, but she proves to be a unique demon, as she does not seem compelled to obey Muzan or to consume humans.
One of Nezuko’s defining traits as a demon is her ability to constantly regenerate her powers without needing to consume humans, which is the norm for most demons. Instead, she regains her strength through sleep, often spending long periods inside her box.
Like Tamayo, Nezuko is a unique demon over whom Muzan has no control and who still holds many secrets yet to be revealed.
